Emmaus House Founder Receives Atlanta Phoenix Award

The City of Atlanta proclaimed March 1, 2010, Father Austin Ford Day as Mayor Kasim Reed presented him with the Mayor's Phoenix Award. Ford was honored for his dedication to uplifting Atlanta’s poor, to civil rights advocacy and other achievements. It is the highest award that can be bestowed on an Atlanta citizen.
